Donations

Everything on this site is free. Adding a company, editing it, verification, statistics, replies, exports, the API. There is no paid plan, no trial that turns into a bill, and no feature waiting behind a card form.

If you find the catalogue useful, you can support it with a donation. This page explains exactly what that is.

What a donation is

A voluntary gift towards work already done: hosting, moderation, and the hours that go into checking what people submit.

What a donation is not

• It is not payment for a service, and nothing is owed to you in return.
• It does not buy a place in the catalogue, a better position, a different link attribute, faster publication or a Verified mark. None of those are for sale to anyone at any price.
• It does not unlock a feature. There are no locked features.
• It does not protect a page from moderation. A page that breaks the Content Policy comes down whether its author donated or not.

Getting it back

Ask within fourteen days and the money goes back the way it came, no reason needed, usually within five to ten working days depending on your bank. Write to [email protected] from the address you donated from.

After fourteen days we still look at it. A donation made by mistake, a double payment or a payment made by someone who was not authorised to make it is returned whenever we hear about it.

Tax

A donation is a gift, not a purchase, so there is no invoice for goods or services. If you need a written confirmation of the payment for your records, ask and we will send one.

Nothing is charged automatically

There is no subscription and no recurring charge anywhere on this site. A donation is a single payment that happens once, when you make it.
