“SAASLEDGE”, “we” and “us” in this document mean that person. There is no company behind the name, and no other legal entity is party to these terms.

What SAASLEDGE is

An independent, community built catalogue of software products. Anyone can add any company. You do not have to work for a company to create its page, and a page existing here does not mean the company knows about it, approved it, or had anything to do with it.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or acting for any company listed here. A listing is not a recommendation, an endorsement or a certification. Names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify what a page is about. See the Trademark Policy.

We host what other people write. Pages are created by users. We do not check every fact before it appears and we are not the author of that material. When something is wrong, illegal or infringing, tell us and we act. That is what the Copyright and Illegal Content page and the Claim Your Page page are for.

Everything here is free

Every feature is free: adding a company, editing it, verification, statistics, replies, exports, the API. There is no paid tier, nothing about a listing is for sale, and no amount of money changes a position in the catalogue, the order in a category, a link attribute or the speed of publication. We do not sell placement, and we do not accept payment to change it.

Donations. You may support the work with a voluntary donation. A donation is a gift for work already done. It buys nothing, promises nothing, unlocks no feature and gives no advantage anywhere on the site. See the Donations page.

Your account

You need an account to add or edit a company. Keep your password to yourself: anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us at once if you think someone else is in there.

We do not require email verification, which means a working email address is your own responsibility. Password resets go to the address on file, and if that address is wrong or unreachable, we cannot recover your account for you.

Do not create accounts to get around a suspension.

Adding a company

You may add a company you do not own. That is how this catalogue is built. What you may not do is pretend to be that company, speak as if you were it, or upload material you have no right to upload.

By submitting anything you confirm all of the following:

• Every fact you enter is accurate as far as you know, and comes from material the company itself published or from another source you can point to.
• You own the rights to any text, image, screenshot or video you upload, or it is licensed for this use, or its use here is lawful for identification and commentary.
• You are not uploading a logo, photograph or marketing asset that the owner has asked not to be used, and you are not passing off someone else’s writing as a description.
• Nothing you enter is defamatory, misleading about what a buyer gets, or designed to damage a competitor.
• You are not adding personal information about a private individual. Business contact details of a company are fine, a founder’s home address is not.

If you are the company. Say so when you submit and claim the page. Then you can speak in the first person and use your own assets freely.

What we may do. Every submission is read by a person before it publishes. We may edit formatting, fix an obvious category error, ask for a source, or refuse a submission entirely. Refusal is not a judgement about the company.

Who owns what

You keep what you wrote. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty free licence to display, reproduce, translate and adapt your submission for the purpose of running and promoting the catalogue. This licence ends when the material is removed, except for copies already made by search engines and archives, which we do not control.

The catalogue as a whole is ours. The selection, structure, categories, taxonomy and compilation are our work. Individual facts about companies are not owned by anyone.

A company’s own material stays theirs. A logo on a page does not become ours, and it does not become yours by uploading it.

If a page is about your company

You do not need an account here to get a page fixed or taken down, and you do not need to explain yourself at length.

Write to [email protected] from an address at your company’s domain and tell us what you want:

• Take control of the page. We hand it to you and the previous editor loses access to it.
• Correct it. Tell us what is wrong and we fix it.
• Remove an asset. A logo, a screenshot, a photo. It comes off, no argument.
• Remove the whole page. We take it down.

We answer within two working days. The full procedure, including what we accept as proof that you are who you if you are, is on the Claim Your Page page.

If you cannot get into your own page, that is exactly the situation this process exists for. Do not try to create a duplicate: write to us and we sort out access.

Removal, moderation and appeals

We remove or restrict material that breaks these terms, the Content Policy or the law. When we do that to something you submitted, we tell you what was removed and why, unless we are legally barred from saying so.

If you think we got it wrong, reply to that message and a person looks at it again. We do not charge for this and we do not require a lawyer.

Reports about illegal content

Anyone, anywhere, can report content here as illegal or infringing. How to do that, what a report has to contain, and what we do next is set out on the Copyright and Illegal Content page. That page also covers counter notices and our policy on people who infringe repeatedly.

What you must not do

Scrape the catalogue at scale, resell our data as a dataset, impersonate a company, submit the same company repeatedly under different names to game the catalogue, upload malware or illegal material, attempt to break authentication or rate limits, or use the catalogue to run link schemes.

No warranty, and the limit of what we owe you

The catalogue is provided as it is. We do not promise that it is always up, always correct, complete or fit for a particular purpose. Facts here are written by users and may be wrong or out of date. Check anything that matters against the company’s own site before you act on it.

We do not promise traffic, rankings, leads, sales, or that a search engine will index anything. Indexing is decided by search engines, not by us.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising out of these terms is limited to one hundred US dollars, and we are not liable for lost profit, lost traffic or indirect damage. This is a free service run by one person. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

If you get us sued. If you submit material you had no right to submit and someone comes after us for it, you cover what that costs us, to the extent the law allows.

Ending it

You may delete your account whenever you want. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Sections meant to survive termination do: the licence for already published material, liability limits, and the indemnity above.

Changes and law

We may change these terms. Material changes are announced on the site before they take effect, and continuing to use the catalogue after that means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. If you are a consumer resident in the EU or the UK, nothing here takes away the protection your own country’s consumer law gives you, and you may bring a claim in your own courts.
