Servers, endpoints, cloud applications and databases each need different handling. A tool that backs up files does not back up a running database consistently.
The restore is the product
Backups are cheap and restores are the point. Ask about restore granularity, how long a full restore takes, and whether you can test one without disruption.
Untested backups are assumptions.
Retention and immutability
How long copies are kept, whether they can be deleted by a compromised account, and where they physically live.
Cost
Per device, per seat, per terabyte, sometimes with egress on restore. That last one turns a bad day into an expensive one.
