Pricing

Pricing pages, plan design and the numbers vendors would rather you did not compare.

SaaS pricing pages, plans and what they leave out

A pricing page is a marketing document. It shows the number that reads best and moves the rest into a footnote, a tooltip or a sales call.

This section reads them properly: per-seat minimums, annual-only discounts, usage ceilings and overage rates, the features held one tier above where you need them, and the migration cost that turns a cheap plan into an expensive year. We also track the shift from seat-based pricing to usage-based pricing, which changed the shape of a SaaS bill more than any feature release.

Every plan we quote comes from the vendor’s own pricing page with the date we read it. Prices move, and an undated number is worthless.
